By default, Bvckup will delete archived files after two weeks, but you can change this if you want. If you now take a look at the destination folder you can see that Bvckup 2 creates a folder called $Archive (Bvckup 2) where it will store all the previous versions of your backed up files, with date and time in the file name. Now you have version control in Bvckup 2.

Open the file called settings.ini and set the value for conf.archive_modified to 1 instead of 0.

  • Close Bvckup 2 completely before you proceed to the next step!.
  • Right-click on the backup task and choose “Open folder -> Configuration and logging”.
  • Make a new backup task and make sure you select “Copying” -> “Copy files in full” and “Deleting” -> “Archive backup copies”.
